Every year in mid-October teams from across Canada gather in the small city of Merritt, BC to take part in the often unpredictable, always spectacular penultimate event of the Canadian Rally Championship. The Pacific Forest Rally celebrated it's 30th anniversary this year while hosting what turned out to be a four-season rally. Roads of gravel, mud, ice and snow. Some stages were cancelled due to excessive snow in the mountains. Many teams were caught off-guard by not bringing snow tires for the usually muddy event. Antoine L'Estage arrived prepared and left with the win (fourth in a row this season). Othe contenders were caught out by the snow and suffered slow times on the wrong tires. Norm LeBlanc and Andrew Comrie Picard finished the top three. For the full story, see Flat Over Crest. [Photos taken October 19/20, 2007]
